News from David

Several people wondered, but where was David???

I am now in San Isidro de El General. People call this place PĂ©rez ZeledĂłn because the city is located in this canton.

Pérez Zeledón is the 19th canton of the province of San José in Costa Rica. It covers an area of 1,905.51 km², with a population of 135,429 inhabitants. The capital of the canton is San Isidro de El General. (Source: Wikipedia)

Back to my little personal story!!!

I spent 27 amazing days at Dominical. It was a relaxing vacation. I took advantage of the sea, the river, the mountains and the waterfalls. I had a nice visit for Christmas. I was happy to have a good time with the family! It was the best Christmas present.

I hit the road again this morning with a bit of nostalgia. I went to say goodbye to all my new friends from Dominical. It was also the day my family left. Sniff-Sniff.

I took my golden mount back. I was no longer used to pedaling!

I traveled only 37 km, but I provided an effort for 3h45. I had forgotten how mountainous Costa Rica is. I climbed the equivalent of 1300 meters. It's not my hardest day, but I would say it's the second hardest climb in my short history in Costa Rica.

I thought I could buy myself an electric bike, but what are people going to say??? (See the route on Strava below...)

The reason I'm in San Isidro right now is to fix my rear wheel. I am missing 3 spokes and my wheel has gone wrong. I absolutely have to repair my bike before leaving for Cartago (Old Capital.)
